At the end of a great September, we had an interesting afternoon talk with Prof. Cynthia Devers, associate department head at the Texas A&M University.

Cynthia Devers talked about two very important topics:

- How to successfully negotiate as female scholar - best practices for negotiation in academic settings, and

- How to get your seat at the table as a woman in a male-dominated department  - securing your fair share in the resource allocation process.
