Bring atmosphere and plants to every office

Wintersemester 2021-22 / Levir

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

We are Levir - five E&I students - and just like busy students should, we all spend an incredible amount of time in offices. It all started when, after several hours of work, we noticed that our concentration and productivity were slipping. We knew we had to find a healthy (caffeine-free) way to address this problem, and over time came up with an atmospheric solution - Green Walls! After several rounds of hypothesis testing, we are now working on our prototype – a modular green wall system filled with air-filtering plants growing in a soil-free hydroculture.

Goal

Our goal is to bring atmosphere into offices and improve the indoor climate in the long term. We want to increase the number of plants in offices as easily as possible, so that it takes absolutely no effort for anyone to maintain them.

Methodology

From the very first moment, we applied the lean start-up method, i.e. we conducted several rounds of idea and functional testing with potential customers and experts, which resulted in changing our original idea several times. So far, these hypothesis tests have been conducted based on qualitative and quantitative interviews and surveys. To validate, measure and specify our product, we have also used several tools. These include customer segmenting, market size estimation, financial plan, strategic analysis, etc.

Results

After several rounds of testing, we have developed our prototype. Our Green Wall provides you with improved air and atmosphere resulting in increased productivity. Through our subscription model we provide installation, watering, and maintenance. With simplicity and flexibility, our prototype, the Levir will bring atmosphere to every office.
