What are the benefits of studying at the E&I Institute?

The Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation offers one of the most renowned and popular specializations (SBWL) in the bachelor programs of the Vienna University of Economics and Business. This is probably due to the fact that we can offer our students very practice-oriented courses through our network, which consists of disruptive start-ups (e.g. Prime Crowd, Freebiebox), established companies (e.g. Microsoft, KPMG, Mayr Melnhof, Mondi, Erste Gruppe Sparkasse) and various NPOs (e.g. CERN, Fraunhofer).

Our innovative teaching concepts have also been awarded several prizes as they bridge a wide range of applications with current content. Furthermore, our proximity to the start-up ecosystem of Vienna and Austria enables us to offer exciting impulses and exchange with like-minded people and people interested in founding a company.

Your grade point average is not everything!

Unfortunately, our capacities do not allow us to offer all applicants a place in our program. For this reason, we are forced to select the best candidates from the large number of applications. There are two paths to acceptance into the specialization at the E&I Institute: (1) via the WU student ranking and (2) the E&I skills fit. These criteria are particularly useful in relation to the very practice-oriented and challenging courses we offer in our specialization.

The E&I Self Assessment Test

Experience has shown that the specialization E&I can be very challenging, so potential applicants should consider whether this specialization is really the right course of study for them. The E&I Self-Assessment Test will help you to do this. Here, applicants can anonymously check whether their ideas and skills match the requirements of our program.
