On June 24, 2025, many WU employees took part in the company relay race in Vienna's Krieau park for the second time. Together with the employer, the two WU Staff Council groups took care of registering the WU running groups, provided all WU starters with running shirts, and also covered the entry fees for all competing WU teams.

After warming up together, the WU teams achieved top performances in beautiful summer weather — both in the race itself and in team building and subsequent celebrations. This made this year's company relay race a great success. True to the motto “The import thing is taking part!”, we congratulate all WU teams on their achievements!

After the company relay race is before the company relay race! In 2026, all WU employees will once again have the opportunity to participate. However, due to the high demand this year, early registration is recommended. We will send out the relevant information well in advance.

In the meantime, we would like to point out that wissBR offers free rental of sports equipment. So, if you feel like playing a round of table tennis or basketball on one of the courts on the WU campus or volleyball or badminton in the nearby Prater, or if you want to throw a Frisbee, you are welcome to borrow the necessary equipment from the wissBR office.
