The regular general staff assembly for academic staff took place at the beginning of June. The chair of the Academic Staff Council (wissBR), Daniela Kremslehner, gave a brief overview of the general tasks of the Staff Council and the current activities of WU's Academic Staff Council. Among other things, information was provided on the ongoing negotiations in the context of the evaluation of various operational agreements (BV), such as the BV performance bonus and the BV IT, and reports were given on the ongoing discussions on various WUPols, such as the WUPol sick leave and teaching and the WUPol QV. The general staff assembly also addressed the impact of the Performance Agreement concluded for WU for 2025 to 2027 and the changes to the University Collective Bargaining Agreement that took effect in February 2025. In addition to approving the actions of the Academic Staff Council’s chair team and the financial officer for the 2024 financial year, there was also time to discuss the topics raised by the participants in detail.

The next staff assembly will take place on October 23, 2025. At this meeting, the election of the election committee will take place, which will then organize and conduct the Staff Council election for academic staff on November 19 and 20, 2025. A large turnout at both events would be a strong sign of support for the representative work of the wissBR at WU!
