New Dean for International Affairs


Professor Jonas Puck took office as WU’s new Dean for International Affairs on March 1, 2024.

In this capacity, he will be working closely with the Rector’s Council to manage and coordinate WU’s international activities.

Jonas Puck is a professor at WU and founder of the Institute for International Business. He is also the academic director of the MBA Program in Energy Management at the WU Executive Academy and co-director of WU’s Research Initiative on Sports and Management.

Right from the start, Jonas Puck’s academic career always had a strong international focus. Before joining WU, Professor Puck worked at universities in Australia, Germany, China, and the UK. Since becoming a WU faculty member, he has continued adding further international stints to his worldwide academic itinerary.

Professor Puck has won several awards for his teaching and research and is also an experienced lecturer and consultant for numerous well-known companies and organizations. His current research interests lie at the intersection of global strategy, finance, and political science.

WU is lucky to count on Jonas Puck as Dean for International Affairs and will benefit greatly from his expertise and experience in its international activities.
