Innovative funding program for Third Mission activities at WU enters its second round

We are thrilled to be able to use the Impact Grant Research once again to specifically promote the social and practical benefits of scientific research and to sustainably strengthen its transfer to non-academic contexts. The grant is aimed at WU researchers whose work is already quality-assured and who want to transfer their research results into socially relevant applications. Each project can be funded with up to €10,000. 

Application deadline: March 31, 2026

Eligible projects: Research that has already been quality-assured (e.g., through peer review, presentations at competitive conferences or publications) and whose impact is to be strengthened through creative and impact-oriented science-to-practice activities targeting relevant stakeholders and multipliers 

Who can apply for funding? Researchers with a current employment contract at WU
