Ghana Short Program on Marketing, Management, and Business Communication in Emerging Economies

The ISP in Ghana will be offered for the first time in 2027, and you can find some important practical information regarding the program below. Students who are selected to participate in this program will receive detailed further information and guidance from WU International Office regarding all aspects mentioned below.

• Flights: Program participants will be responsible for booking their flights. WU International Office will communicate to all participants well in advance exactly which flights are to be booked. It is important that all participants take the same flights, as transfers in Ghana will be organized for the entire group.

• Accommodation: Accommodation will be booked by WU for all program participants. For the first 4 days in Accra, students will be staying in Accra City Hotel in double rooms. The rest of the program will take place in Cape Coast, and students will be staying directly on campus of the University of Cape Coast in single rooms.

• Travel documents: You will need to obtain a visa for travel to Ghana. Please note that your passport needs to be valid for a minimum of 6 months after your stay in Ghana. Selected participants will receive instructions regarding visa after the selection procedure. 

• Vaccinations: A proof of yellow fever vaccine is required for visa application for Ghana. We also highly recommend that your vaccines as defined in Austrian vaccination plan are up-to-date. 

• General remark:The program in Ghana is thoughtfully organized by the WU International Office in partnership with the University of Cape Coast. While every effort will be made to ensure a smooth and enriching experience, please be aware that some aspects may evolve due to local conditions. Flexibility and openness are essential assets for this program. Preparatory sessions for program participants will be held well before the start of the program. 

Student representative role 

For the ISP Ghana the International Office is looking for one of the participating students to act as a student representative. The student representative will support the IO and the partner university with certain small tasks on-site and will be a point of contact for the students, the partner university, and the IO. In return, the program fee for the student representative will be reduced by 50%. If you are interested in this position, please upload the application form for student representatives in the online application form (under "additional documents") during the application period. • Flights

• Visa fees: A valid visa is mandatory for entry to Ghana.

• Vaccinations: Yellow fever vaccination is mandatory for entry to Ghana. Other vaccinations might be useful as well. 

• Foreign travel health insurance: Mandatory for travel for all participants. 

• Additional meals on lecture and non-lecture days

• Additional expenses on site
