Two MSc Marketing students awarded with Tourissimus

The Tourissimus award, which is considered the “Oscar” for educational institutions in the Austrian tourism industry, was awarded by the Austrian Society for Applied Tourism Research (ÖGAF) on April 11th, 2019 in Krems. As part of the ceremony the two best Austrian educational institutions were selected and the best bachelor and master theses were awarded with prizes by a top-class jury.

WU’s Department of Marketing was selected to be #2 of the best institutions for higher education in the field of tourism in Austria. Additionally, two MSc Marketing students were awarded with the Tourissimus for their master theses in their respective categories. Stasa Dolar Grobelsek is runner-up in the category "Tourism Economy", where she convinced with her outstanding master thesis "Private Hospitality and Citizenship Behavior" (supervised by Prof Ulrike Kaiser and Prof Isabel Eichinger). In the category "Marketing and Destinations", Helen Sroka (supervised by Prof Thomas Reutterer and Prof Barbara Stangl) came in third with her excellent master thesis “The Diminishing Marginal Utility of the Mere Measurement Effect in Customer Satisfaction Surveys".
