MSc Marketing scores at Austrian Tourism Research Award

26/04/2017

Congratulations to Sabrina Engel and Gudrun Prückler who won the tourism research award "Tourissimus" in the categories Cities & Destinations and Tourist Industry despite tough competition.

Every year, ÖGAF (Austrian association for applied research in the tourism and leisure industry) and FH Wien – Department of Tourism & Hospitality Management announce the tourism research award "Tourissimus". The award honors the best bachelor and master theses focussing on tourism in the categories Cities & Destinations, Sustainability and Tourist Industry. This year, 20 candidates from seven different educational institutions competed in the final of the award and presented in front of a top-class jury.

We are proud to announce that two winners come from our MSc Marketing program. Sabrina Engel graduated in 2016 with her master thesis „Green Spaces in Cities as Attractions“ and won 1,200 Euro in the category Cities & Destinations. Gudrun Prückler is currently studying in her first MSc year and won 1,200Euro in the category Tourist Industry with her bachelor thesis “Mystery e-mailing in the Austrian hospitality industry“. Both theses were supervised by Dr. Margit Kastner from the Department of Marketing. Congratulations!
