InnoDays Spring 2022

13/06/2022

This year, WU Marketing Master students again participated in the InnoDays Spring 2022 event as part of the Business Modelling & Innovation course.

More than 200 students and over 40 specialists got together to take on the #SmartCircularKitchen challenge. Within 48 hours only, students from different academic backgrounds transformed their various ideas into working prototypes.

The aim was to develop platform integrations which connect apps and devices across the food supply chain. These integrations then provide important solutions for circularity in the kitchen. All InnoDays ecosystem partners, such as Philips, Cookidoo, or Restegourmet supported the project with valuable input.

Our MSc students came up with innovative  proposals  and received a lot of positive feedback. We truly hope that the company partners will have the opportunity to turn some ideas into reality!

Congratulations to Johanna Albrecht (WU), Anna Sophie Paviolo (WU), Anna Groalber (Everyone Codes), Alexey Chernikov (Everyone Codes), Pascal Wagner (OST) and Leonie Polonyi (FH Wiener Neustadt), members of the winning team “Fillmatic”.  The winners of the Smart Circular Kitchen Challenge impressed our ecosystem partners by designing an app integration for an existing zero-waste food delivery company like Alpacas by attaching Supplyz sensors to containers so users can order food in jars.
