The Examination Regulations and Additional Course Types

The examination regulations and the associated course types will come into force in the winter semester 2018/19.

The course types differ primarily in the following aspects:

  •     Number of student performances for the assessment

  •     Compulsory student attendance

  •     Extent of the attendance times to be announced

Please note that at the beginning of the respective semester, all relevant information according to §76 must be known:

After the start of the semester, the specified information on form/dates/methods/assessment may only be changed for the compelling reasons listed below and decided by the Rectorate.
The students registered for the course must be informed by e-mail about changes for compelling reasons and that they can withdraw from the course without consequences due to these change(s).

UG Amendment §76 - Courses and examinations - compelling reasons (Rectorate decision):

  •     unforeseeable events that make it impossible to hold the scheduled lecture (e.g. pandemic, fire on campus)

  •     Illness/similar reasons beyond the control of the course instructor

  •     Change of course leader
