International Conference in Ecological Macroeconomics

21/09/2026

From 9 to 12 September, our Institute participated in the Ecological Macroeconomics Conference in Florence to discuss ongoing challenges in modelling social-ecological pathways. Several of our researchers presented their work at the conference. Among them, Jan Stalzer co-organised a special session on post-growth narratives for international climate policy decision-making, while Linus Eckert presented his work on exploring degrowth policies and scenarios using environmentally extended macroeconomic modelling.

These contributions aim to strengthen the role and impact of post-growth perspectives in both academic research and climate policymaking. The full conference programme can be found here: 2026 - International Conference in Ecological Macroeconomics (Florence) - Ecological Economics in Tuscany
