In a recently released video by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF), entitled “Europe’s global footprint”, the research of EcolEcon member Stefan Giljum and his colleagues in the “Global Resource Use” research group is presented. Stefan explains the complexity and opaqueness of global supply chains, highlighting the importance of developing models to identify major environmental hotspots as a basis for decision making in business and policy.
