WU alumnus named “Austrian of the Year”

WU congratulates its alumnus Michael Beitl on winning this prestigious award!

On October 22, WU alumnus Michael Beitl received an award at the “Austrian of the Year” gala event, in recognition of his entrepreneurial commitment to sustainable commodity innovation. Michael Beitl is co-founder and managing director of Kern Tec GmbH, where he has developed an industrial process for extracting high-quality raw materials for the food and cosmetics industries from fruit pits that would otherwise go to waste.

In his studies at WU Vienna, Michael Beitl pursued a special focus on entrepreneurship and innovation.
