The rainbow flag was raised on Campus WU

WU is sending a stronger signal for visability, respect and solidarity.

Many activities had to be canceled last year due to the pandemic, including activities planned by the LGBTIQ community such as Vienna Pride 2020. This year it is celebrating its comeback with a strong focus on visibility. WU is taking this as an opportunity to raise the rainbow flag not just as always on May 17, but also during Vienna Pride Week from June 14–20. “By raising the rainbow flag again, we want to emphasize our commitment to an open, inclusive, and equal society. I am very pleased to be able to welcome everyone back to Campus WU, with the rainbow flag flying as a symbol for diversity and peaceful coexistence,” says Michael Lang, Vice-Rector for Research and Human Resources.
