New Fulbright professorship

Cooperation between the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and WU

As part of the celebrations for the 75th anniversary of Fulbright Austria, a new cooperation between the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and the WU Vienna University of Economics and Business has now been signed.

The new "Fulbright-Academy of Fine Arts Vienna Visiting Professor" professorship is interdisciplinary in nature and is intended to create an academic program at the interface of art, business and society. Thematically, the focus is on areas such as arts management, arts/culture economics, entrepreneurial education in the arts, the social value of cultural offerings and the legal and economic aspects of cultural management. The professorship will involve both institutions, with teaching and research activities planned at the Academy and at WU.

The selection process for this new Fulbright Professorship will begin in 2026, and the first professorship will be awarded in the 2027-28 academic year.
