There’s always something going on here on Campus WU! At our events, we present our researchers’ findings and promote discourse. Our faculty have in-depth discussions with other researchers, experts from the field, and people interested in business, law, and social developments. Students, WU employees, and guests get together at our social events. We also regularly organize career events where students can get to know potential employers.

Research meets public

WU is committed to addressing today’s important economic and social issues. It aims to strengthen sustainable thinking and responsibility in the business community and to help solve economic, social, and ecological problems. The “WU matters. WU talks.” series is intended to help bring these important topics to the attention of the public.

The “Long Night of Research” is the largest-scale science and research event in the German-speaking region to include WU researchers presenting their work. At this event, researchers find entertaining ways to introduce their current projects to science enthusiasts of all ages.

Having a good time

Partying on campus – every year in June, we invite our students, faculty, staff, and alumni along with area residents to our big Summer Celebration. This event turns the whole campus into a party zone with a Street Food Market and live performances by Austria’s hottest bands.

At the glamorous WU Ball in January, students, faculty, graduates, and guests of honor from politics and business dance the night away in the imperial ambiance of Vienna’s Hofburg palace.

Economics and art are a perfect match: “WU’s Talents” is a special event that gives members of the WU community - students, faculty, staff, and alumni – an opportunity to show off their artistic talents.
