• Participating in the program will extend the total duration of your studies from six to eight semesters, two of which you will spend at the partner university. After successful application for the double degree program in your third semester, you will spend your sixth and seventh semesters at QUT. The eighth and final semester takes place at WU. • Proof of language proficiency: As BBE students, you do not need to provide proof of English proficiency. Studying in an English-taught program is sufficient.

At QUT, you are required to choose one of six majors: Economics, Finance, Human Resource Management, International Business, Management, or Marketing. Be aware of any prerequisites or restrictions these majors entail:

• You have to decide on a major before the application process and explicitly communicate your choice in your motivational letter.

• Each major has specific prerequisites that you have to fulfill before you begin your studies at QUT. To view these prerequisites, please have a look at this document.

• In order to apply for an Economics Major at QUT, WU students must be admitted to the „Specialization: Economics Core“.

• Additional restrictions apply to the Economics, Finance, International Business, and Marketing majors. If you choose one of these majors when applying for the double degree program, you may not apply for the corresponding WU specializations at any point during your studies. If you are already admitted to one of these WU specializations, you may not apply to the corresponding major at QUT. The reason behind this is overlap in course contents.

Note: If your chosen major has certain prerequisites, select the appropriate course(s) from WU's course offerings independently and in a timely manner. This is the only way to ensure that you get a place in these courses. It is your own responsibility to fulfill the prerequisites for your double degree program before you go abroad. If you do not successfully complete the prerequisites, your nomination may be invalidated.

• In the semester before an exchange, you have to take the course Cross-Cultural Competence (3 ECTS credits). For students in the Business and Economics program, successful completion of this course reduces free electives by 3 ECTS credits. Please take a class in English language.

• If there is no course available for Australia, choose a course with no specific regional focus.

• Applications are accepted each winter semester during the double degree application period. Please note that you need to apply three semesters (one and a half years) before you plan to go abroad. We expect to offer five double degree spots each academic year.

Your application must include the following:

• Letter of motivation: Explain why you would like to participate in the double degree program and why you believe you should be awarded a place. Your response should be in English and limited to a maximum of 3200 characters, including spaces. Also, be sure to include your choice of major, as applications without this information will not be considered.

• CV: Include information on your education, work experience/internships, experience abroad, language skills, and other skills/abilities. A photo is optional.

• WU bachelor’s transcript (will be generated automatically)

After the application period concludes, all application documents will be automatically sent to the academic advisor, Dr. Tobias Polzer. He will then carefully review and select the most suitable applicants. Interviews may also be conducted.

• Approximately two weeks later, you will receive an email notification from the International Office regarding your acceptance or rejection. If you are not selected for the program, you still have the opportunity to apply for an exchange semester during the regular application periods.

• Note: You cannot participate in a double degree program and apply for an additional exchange semester during your bachelor’s program.

• After completion of your stay abroad, make sure your transcript is sent to your WU coordinator at the International Office.

• You will receive a final grade based on your grade average (weighted according to the ECTS credits earned). The grade will be included in your WU transcript under the subject “Double Degree Studies”.

• You do not have to apply for credit transfer with the Study Service Center. The International Office will enter your grade into WU's data system.
