WU’s new Rector’s Council

In the meeting held on April 2, the University Board of WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) approved the candidates for the new WU Rector’s Council suggested by Rector-Elect Edeltraud Hanappi-Egger.

In the meeting held on April 2, the University Board of WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) approved the candidates for the new WU Rector’s Council suggested by Rector-Elect Edeltraud Hanappi-Egger. The following people will take office as Vice-Rectors on October 1, 2015:

Harald Badinger (aged 40): Vice-Rector for Financial Affairs

Harald Badinger is a full professor at WU. He heads the Institute for International Economics at WU’s Department of Economics, and he also serves as Head of the Research Institute for European Affairs.

Michael Lang (aged 50): Vice-Rector for Human Resources

Michael Lang is Chair of the Department of Public Law and Tax Law and Head of the Institute for Austrian and International Tax Law.

Edith Littich (aged 50): Vice-Rector for Academic Programs and Student Affairs

Edith Littich is a full professor and has been serving as Vice-Rector for Academic Programs and Student Affairs since 2011. Before becoming Vice-Rector, Edith Littich worked as a professor at the Institute for Finance, Banking and Insurance at WU’s Department of Finance, Accounting and Statistics.

Stefan Pichler (aged 50): Vice-Rector for Research

Stefan Pichler is Head of the Institute for Finance, Banking and Insurance at WU’s Department of Finance, Accounting and Statistics.

Brigitte Jilka, Chair of the WU University Board
