Alexander Mürmann, Professor for Risk Management and Insurance at the WU-Department of Finance, Accounting and Statistics, has assumed the function of Vice-President of the European Group of Risk Insurance Economists (EGRIE) in August 2015.

Alexander Mürmann, Professor for Risk Management and Insurance at the WU-Department of Finance, Accounting and Statistics, has assumed the function of Vice-President of the European Group of Risk Insurance Economists (EGRIE) in August 2015.

EGRIE was founded more than 40 years ago by the Geneva Association, the leading international think tank of the insurance industry. EGRIE is dedicated to promoting research and creating a network of academics doing research on risk and insurance. This is achieved through the organisation of scientific conferences and meetings, in particular, through the annual EGRIE conference which has evolved into one of the worldwide most important conference in insurance economics.
