Mathew Gillings (WU)

Mathew is an Assistant Professor at the Institute for Language and Discourse in Business at WU. His expertise lies in corpus linguistics and (critical) discourse analysis, examining societal discourses, such as climate change discourse, on a large scale; forensic linguistics, including deception and communicating wrongdoing in times of crisis; and (im)politeness across different speakers and cultures.

Miya is a Senior Lecturer at the Institute for Language and Discourse in Business at WU. Her research interests focus on English as a shared language in international business and education, internationalisation in higher education, and teaching business communication for a globalised, digital world.

Gavin Lamb (NHH)

Gavin is an Associate Professor of English language at the Department of Professional and Intercultural Communication at NHH. His research interests combine discourse analysis, ecolinguistics, nexus analysis, and organizational ethnography. His research brings linguistic findings into dialogue with interdisciplinary research in sustainability studies. Through this, he seeks to provide empirical insight into the diverse communicative practices shaping professional responses to growing sustainability challenges.

Maria Nikolova (UNWE)

Maria is Head of the Department of Media and Public Communications (UNESCO Chair on Media and Information Literacy and Cultural Policies for Sustainable Development) at UNWE. She is an expert on crisis public relations (PR), business communications and PR, and crisis communication in social media. She has also served two terms as a member of the Committee for Professional Ethics at the Bulgarian Public Relations Association.

Kaisa Pietikäinen (NHH)

Kaisa is an Associate Professor of English language at the Department of Professional and Intercultural Communication at NHH. Her expertise lies in the use of English in digital, intercultural, and multilingual settings. Her current research projects examine digital collaboration platforms as learning environments in multilingual business communities, and using online intercultural collaboration to develop students’ skills in intercultural pragmatics and English as a business lingua franca.

Ivan Valchanov (UNWE)

Ivan is Senior Assistant Professor in Media and Journalism at the Department of Media and Public Communications at UNWE. His research interests include digital media, communication management, media and journalism education, media and digital literacy. Ivan also has 16 years of experience as a digital sports journalist and is currently the task coordinator for the Dissemination and Communication at the ENGAGE.EU European University alliance.
