Open position for PostDoc within the ERC Consolidator Grant project FINEPRINT

The Research Area Sustainable Resource Use within the Institute for Ecological Economics is currently inviting applications for a 30-40 hours/week Project Staff Member/Postdoctoral Researcher position on “Geospatial assessments of global raw material extraction and related environmental and social impacts” for Geographer/Geo-Informatics (post-doc, employee subject to the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement for University Staff - Angestellte/r gemäß Kollektivvertrag für die Arbeitnehmer/innen der Universitäten; gross monthly salary on a full-time basis, paid 14 times per year: Euro 3,626,60). This employee position will be initially limited to a period of 3 years, starting on January 1, 2018 (Note that a slightly different starting date could be negotiated).

This position is part of the ERC Consolidator Grant project FINEPRINT (Spatially explicit material footprints: fine-scale assessment of Europe’s global environmental and social impacts, led by Dr. Stefan Giljum. FINEPRINT develops and applies a new method for fine-scale assessments of global material flows, in order to perform spatially explicit analyses of material footprints and related environmental and social impacts of European consumption.
