Rohit was born in 1988 and raised in India. After completing his bachelor’s degree he worked for four years at Tata Consultancy Services, the world’s largest IT consulting firm. During the period he also completed a master’s degree in Economics from Indira Gandhi National Open University with a first class. In 2013, he was selected to State Bank of India. He was one of the 750 people selected for the post of a probationary officer from an applicant pool of 1.75 million people. At the bank he worked as a credit analyst for SMEs where he handled the portfolio of nearly 600 SMEs as part of his last assignment. He resigned from the bank in 2019 as a deputy manager to pursue his ambition of being a researcher and joined the M.Sc program in Economics and Business Administration at the Norwegian School of Economics in Bergen, Norway. His interests include tax economics, tax avoidance and evasion and behavioral studies with respect to taxation.
