The Institute for Business Education joins Julia Rieß and Michael Posch in celebrating their 2026 Ars Docendi Recognition Award in the category of Research-Based and Art-Guided Teaching.

Business Education students know that writing a master's thesis is an important part of the path to graduation. So it's good to know that there are opportunities to approach an empirical research project step by step. Until the summer semester 2026, it was the now with the Ars Docendi Recognition Award 2026 honored research seminar Business Education II held by Julia Rieß and Michael Posch. The award was presented by Federal Minister Eva-Maria Holzleitner on September 8, 2026, in the Ceremonial Hall of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.

More information on this award-winning course design - which can certainly be applied to similar courses - can be found on the "Good Teaching" page.

It's also great news that the Ars Docendi State Prize in the category "Quality Culture, Student-Centeredness, and Studyability" went to WU Wien, with Bettina Wittmann and her course "Revolutionize Digital Marketing Techniques with AI & Smart Tools: Convert Customers to Raving Fans".

Congratulations to all the award winners!
