Registration for the relay race is open until April 12, 2024 at https://www.wu.ac.at/universitaet/organisation/interessensvertretungen/betriebsrat/anmeldungen/anmeldung-firmenstaffellauf-2024/. The two WU Staff Council committees will cover the entry fees for all teams that make it to the finish line.

When: Tuesday, June 25, 2024

Where: Wiener Trabrennverein Krieau, Nordportalstraße 247, 1020 Wien

Distance: 10 x 1000m (total 10 KM)

Costs: per team 85,-

PREPARATION

Running training: will be organized by Dr. Rathmayr

Warm-up before the run: A joint warm-up before the run is planned.

Uniform running shirts: The financing of uniform running shirts for new runners will continue as before. If you have not yet received a WU running shirt, please indicate your T-shirt size when registering.

TEAM

A team consists of 3 people. You can register as a team or contact friedrich.hess@wu.ac.at if you are unable to form a team. If there are enough runners, we will invite you to a team building event. You can also volunteer as a substitute runner. In recent years, ALL substitute runners have been able to take part.

RACE PROCEDERE

After each kilometer run, handover/change to a team member until 10 kilometers have been completed. The classification is based on the total time of the team after 10 kilometers.

Start: 18:15

Collection of start numbers: from 16:00 hrs.

Award Ceremony: from approx. 19:45 hrs

Our closing event will take place during the award ceremony.

RANKING

WU Vienna will have its own company ranking. There are 3 classifications, women / men / mixed, each in 3 age groups. The total age of the three runners at the time of the race counts.

REFUND OF PARTICIPATION FEES

Registration for the run is organized by the staff councils. Please register by April 12, 2024 using the link provided. After registering, you will receive an account number to pay the entry fee. If your team reaches the finish line, this entry fee will be refunded by the staff councils.
