Being an internationally active university and member of numerous networks helps WU to gain new perspectives on its own activities.

This spirited exchange of ideas with renowned universities provides WU with impulses for its continuous development. At the same time, WU’s knowledge and Rector Edeltraud Hanappi-Egger’s expertise are highly appreciated and sought after. In addition to the Rector’s participation on different boards and committees, such as the presidency of the SIGMA Alliance, she is a member of the International Advisory Board at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics since the spring of 2022.

As of October, she will also be part of the Technical University of Munich’s (TUM) School of Management Board, and will participate in the Global Advisory Board at the Hitotsubashi University (Japan). These invitations and collaborations certainly also reflect the perception of WU as a strong partner and leading university at the international level.
