Josef Zechner, Professor at the Institute for Finance, Banking and Insurance at WU, was elected Chairman of EFA at the 49th Annual Meeting of the European Finance Association (EFA) in Barcelona for a three-year term starting in 2023.

In this important role, he will be instrumental in shaping the future activities of the EFA.

In recent years, Josef Zechner has already provided notable service to the EFA as President, Managing Editor of the Review of Finance, and Conference Program Chair. In addition to his continued influence on the association, this commitment also increases WU's visibility in the international finance research community.
