What is the JUS+[LAB]?
JUS+[LAB] is an initiative dedicated to advancing excellence among business law students at WU.
The program aims to seamlessly integrate theoretical studies with practical experience through collaboration with prominent employers in the legal domain.
Commencing annually in April/May, the program starts with a kick-off event. During this gathering, participants not only get to know each other but also engage in insightful discussions with distinguished personalities. Noteworthy past guests include the President of the Supreme Court, Hon.-Prof. Dr. Elisabeth Lovrek (2022), and the President of the Constitutional Court, Univ.-Prof. DDr. Dr. h.c. Christoph Grabenwarter (2023).
Come September, participants receive invitations to a summer seminar traditionally hosted at a lake in Styria. This seminar encompasses not only legal keynote speeches but also a debate seminar addressing contemporary legal issues.
Throughout the subsequent academic year, events will take place in collaboration with renowned employers from the legal practice.
The summer semester culminates in a graduation ceremony, during which participants are awarded certificates of participation and are welcomed to join an alumni association.
The program is targeted at the most outstanding business law students. After three semesters of studies (i.e. February 28), academic progress and achievement are assessed through a comprehensive combination criterion. The top 50 students of each year as determined by this criterion receive invitations to participate in the JUS+[LAB].
The JUS+[LAB] proudly collaborates with distinguished partners from the legal practice.
