Published annually, the QS Executive MBA Rankings are regarded as an important international benchmark in management education. In 2026, a total of 246 executive MBA programs from 58 countries have been evaluated. The growing number of participating programs reflects the growing intensity of global competition.

International rankings increase visibility

WU Rector Rupert Sausgruber emphasizes the importance that such results have for the university as a whole. He says, “International rankings provide important orientation in the global higher education landscape and show how competitive our programs are in the international context. Successful ranking results such as those achieved by the Global Executive MBA, and also our master’s programs, strengthen the visibility of WU and help us significantly in further consolidating our position as one of Europe’s leading business universities.” In addition to regional rankings, QS also publishes global rankings, including the Joint Programs ranking for programs delivered in collaboration by two or more international business schools. These programs are characterized by their strong international orientation, diverse student cohorts, and close collaboration between partner institutions.

WU Global Executive MBA beats the global average

The WU Executive Academy’s Global Executive MBA program achieved results above the global average across several dimensions. With 70.2 points, the program achieved its best scores in the Thought Leadership category, compared to a global average of 58.4 points. Sebastian Kortmann, Dean of the WU Executive Academy, sees the result as confirmation of the program’s strong international orientation. He says, “This result puts us among the world’s leading joint programs and demonstrates that our international collaboration and the quality of our teaching pay off in the long run. I’m particularly pleased that we’ve achieved results above the global average across several key categories and that all surveyed alumni were promoted during the observation period.”
