Building on the Master Program in Business Law and on other master or diploma programs in Law offered at other universities, the doctoral program in Business Law provides a specialised, academically-oriented education with a particular focus on the writing of a doctoral thesis in business law.

The prerequisite for admission to the program is the successful completion of a diploma or master program in a legal field or of another equivalent program at a recognised post-secondary educational institution in Austria or abroad. If you have completed a diploma or master program in Social and Economic Sciences at WU, admission is possible, but you have to take additional oral examinations which serve the purpose of establishing equal standards with alumni of a degree program in Law.
