SEEP alumnus receives TALENTA 2015

Florentin Glötzl, SEEP alumnus of the 1st cohort, has been awarded the TALENTA 2015 for his master thesis “The Role of Net Lending and Net Borrowing in the Crisis, Economic Theory and the Business Cycle” (supervisor: Dr. Armon Rezai). The thesis was selected by a jury as an outstanding example of  master-level research.

In his thesis, Florentin used a cutting-edge approach to reveal the crucial macroeconomic imbalances that have led to the Euro Crisis and derive effective policy recommendations adapted to the specific circumstances in each country.

The jury selected papers which are of outstanding quality (excellence), treat a socially relevant topic (social relevance), prepare their objectives and results understandably (accessibility) and make the variety of research topics at the WU visible (diversity).

The award ceremony will take place on November 17th, 2015, (WU, building LC) as part of the lecture series "Wiener Vorlesungen".
