Revolutionizing bilateral Road-Shipping: Potential sales strategies for an eCMR solution

01/02/2023

Wintersemester 2022-23 / EY Austria

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This project was carried out in collaboration with our project partner EY Austria, and the focus was on monetizing an already developed Blockchain-based solution for cross-border road transportation. The main problem EY faced with their solution was the commercialization. Thus, they needed additional market insights about main competitors and their products, the main customers, and finally their own value proposition based on the needs of potential customers.

To come up with a sophisticated value proposition, we conducted interviews with industry experts from haulage companies, industrial and competitor firms were conducted. Additionally, a competitor analysiswas conducted. After comparing different pricing models offered by competitors, we presented a potential pricing strategy to EY.

Based on the insights acquired from the expert interviews and the secondary data, three sales strategies were formulated. Additionally, specific calls for action have been developed to further specify the sales strategy for EY.
