Position at IIB, other positions and academic career

Niklas Jarisch is a Research and Teaching Associate at the Institute for International Business since September 2022. After completing his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a special focus on Entrepreneurship & Innovation and Transport and Logistics, he continued his studies at WU with a Master’s degree in Export and Internationalization Management, during which he spent a semester at Copenhagen Business School.

Next to his studies, Niklas co-founded a startup and voluntarily set up a sports team at WU. Moreover, he worked as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the WU’s Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation. Prior to his current employment, he was working in the Strategy/M&A department of a bank.

Research interest

Niklas is interested in the fields of international- and strategic entrepreneurship. His research focuses on firm’s internalization strategies and their performance implications.
