Christof Miska is an Associate Professor at the Institute for Responsibility and Sustainability in Global Business. He serves as the Academic Director of the Competence Center for Emerging Markets and is the Academic Director of the WU Executive Professional Master Sustainability, Entrepreneurship, and Technology. At the Journal of Business Ethics he is a co-editor of the Cross-Cultural Management and Business Ethics section.  Currently, he is the leader of a research project supported by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) on the role of purpose in organizations.

He earned his doctoral degree in international business from WU Vienna and is an alumnus of the Nordic Research School of International Business (NORD IB). In addition, he holds a master's degree in international business administration from WU Vienna as well as the CEMS master's in international management. The latter was earned from WU Vienna, Copenhagen Business School, and Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi. As a scholar, he visited Bentley University (USA) and INSEAD (Singapore).

Research

Dr. Miska's research interests focus on responsible global leadership, a contemporary approach to global leadership studies with a particular focus on ethics, corporate responsibility, and sustainable development. Respectively, his research is rooted in studies of leadership, corporate responsibility, and ethics as well as in broader areas related to international organizational behavior and international management, cross-cultural management, institutional analyses, and positive organizational scholarship. Dr. Miska's research was published in internationally regarded journals such as Journal of World Business, the Journal of Business Ethics, Business Ethics Quarterly, and Academy of Management Collections and was presented at major academic conferences including the Academy of Management and Academy of International Business annual meetings.
