Günter Stahl wins CEMS Course of the Year Award

Professor Günter K. Stahl has been honored with the prestigious CEMS Course of the Year Award for the sixth time for his core course, "Responsible Global Leadership."
This award recognizes one of the highest-rated courses globally each year, celebrated for its international focus, practical relevance, and contribution to social responsibility.
In addition to this award, Prof. Stahl has received two other CEMS Course of the Year Awards for Elective Courses, making him the most decorated educator in the history of CEMS – The Global Alliance in Management Education.

Grow East Congress 2024

Our professor, Desislava Dikova chaired the first session of the Grow East Congress 2024, on the topic of EU integration and further expansion, EU security and geopolitics.
The event was held on Decembet 5th, 2024 at the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber in Vienna.
Panelists included Desislava Dikova of WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business), Gunter Deuber of Raiffeisen Research, Martin Ehl of Hospodářské noviny, Sebastian Schäffer of IDM Institut für den Donauraum und Mitteleuropa/Institute for the Danube Region and Central Europe and Prof. Philipp Ther of University of Vienna.

Increasingly stakeholders are demanding that companies pursue a higher purpose that goes beyond profits, such as addressing climate change or inequality. Research suggests that companies with purpose central to their strategy tend to have higher growth and profitability, whilst achieving higher levels of employee engagement and satisfaction. But what does developing a purpose- driven organization really mean? How do companies authentically live by their purpose and avoid rhetoric vs. reality gaps?
