Position at IIB, other positions and academic career

Marlene joined the Institute for International Business as a research and teaching associate in December 2018. She is a graduate from WU Vienna University of Economics and Business and the Stockholm School of Economics. Before that, Marlene completed her Bachelor's degree in International Business Administration at WU Vienna with specializations in Public and Nonprofit Management and International Business and studied abroad at University College Cork and Tsinghua University. During her studies, Marlene gained international and practical experience in the financial industry, consulting and various international organizations, including the United Nations Industrial Development Organization.

Research interest

Marlene’s research interests lie in the field of corporate responsibility and sustainability, grand societal challenges and the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals in business practice. She is also interested in responsible innovation and international cross-cultural management.
