Position at IIB, other positions and academic career

Chiara is a research and teaching associate and has been at the Institute for International Business since March 2021. Her desire to explore diverse cultures and realities motivated her to study several industries and live in different countries.

Before joining the institute, Chiara graduated with honors from Bocconi University in Milan with a Bachelor in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Economics and Management applied to creative industries – e.g. fashion & luxury, furniture & design, cinema, art, and tourism. During her graduate program, she also spent a summer semester at Columbia University in New York. Later, Chiara moved to Vienna, where she wrote her research Master's Thesis on the decision-making related to foreign direct investments of Italian furniture companies.

Before joining academia, Chiara also completed an internship at Uffizi Galleries in Florence, an experience that enabled her to apply her managerial competencies within an internationally renowned art institution.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, practicing sports, and learning languages.

Research Interest

Within the field of international business, Chiara´s interest is related to innovation and entrepreneurship. Her research deals with the topic of entrepreneurial decision-making, in the context of MNCs´ innovation selection, AI augmented decision-making, and entrepreneurs´ (re)location choices.
