Assoz. Prof. Dr. Peter Keinz

Peter Keinz is Associate Professor at WU’s Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. In research, he focuses on Open and User Innovation. Specifically, Peter researches and develops strategies, methods, and tools for organizations to leverage internal and external knowledge in the context of innovation processes. Furthermore, he is interested in the strategic and organizational antecedents and consequences of Open and User Innovation approaches on firm level.

Before joining the E&I team in 2005, Peter studied Business Administration at WU Vienna and majored in Entrepreneurship and Innovation as well as in Strategic Management, Controlling and Consulting. After having finished his studies, he left university and worked as assistant to the CEO of the Austrian Controllers’ Institute. He also gained some experience in the consulting industry with Contrast Management Consulting. Today, besides his academic duties, Peter acts as speaker and coach to technology-driven start-ups, corporates, and research organizations and supports them in their knowledge and technology transfer activities.
