In her position as Institute Manager, Katharina is the first contact point at E&I for external stakeholders, such as industry representatives and researchers from other institutions, and internal stakeholders, like students, as well as university management and administration. While Katharina overall supports the E&I team with managing, among other things, budget controlling, teaching-related IT systems, and HR processes, she will also drive the institute’s strategic development.

Before joining E&I in June 2025, Katharina was living an entrepreneurial lifestyle. As a self-employed Social Media and Communications consultant, she mainly worked with artists from various genres, music organizations, and small businesses. She also taught marketing basics to new-to-be entrepreneurs at WIFI and published articles for an online magazine.

Prior to this, Katharina had already been well-versed in the university context due to her experience at the office of the rector at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.

Katharina holds a Communications and Politics degree from the University of Vienna.
