The Chinese Perspective of Global and Domestic Tax Policy Issues

On Monday 27th May 2013 the WU Global Tax Policy Center at the Institute for Austrian and International Tax Law hosted the fourth in the new series of tax policy discussions between Prof. Jeffrey Owens and leading players in the field of tax policy.

The fourth in the series took place on Monday 27th May 2013, and focused on the Chinese perspective of global and domestic tax policy issues, in particular, three main topics were discussed: recent developments in Chinese domestic Tax Policy, the recent developments in the international position of China, and dealing with growing inequalities in the distribution of income and wealth.

In a slightly different style to the previous three editions, Jeffrey was joined by Xiong Wei from Wuhan University, Yansheng Zhu from Xiamen University and Bristar Cao from Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE). They have all led a distinguished academic career in China and outside.
