Biographical Sketch

Falk Ebinger is Assistant Professor at the Department of Management's Institute for Public Management and Governance at Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Wien). He holds a M.A. in Public Policy & Management from the University of Konstanz, Germany and earned a doctorate (Dr.rer.soc.) at the Faculty for Social Science at Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany. Before joining the WU he worked for several years as research fellow at the Chair for Public Administration & Regional Politics at Ruhr-University Bochum and as senior research fellow and substitute professor for Administrative Science at the Department of Politics and Public Administration at the University of Konstanz. He is alumnus of the Mercator Global Young Faculty and of Ruhr-University Bochum Research School. His academic work and research has been published in scholarly outlets such as International Review of Administrative Sciences, Local Government Studies, Politische Vierteljahresschrift as well as in numerous books and edited volumes.

Research Interests

Falk Ebinger's research interests lie within public sector research with an emphasis on institutionalization, performance and reform of public administrations on all administrative levels, multilevel governance, public finance and bureaucratic elites. Falk Ebinger engaged in more than a dozen third party funded research projects and is actively advising several state and local governments in Germany.
