Audiovisual Media Technology
IT-SERVICES is responsible for the audio-visual media technology in WU's teaching rooms. Furthermore, we organize loaner equipment that you might need for your courses.
Events are organized by the Eventmanagement. IT-SERVICES offers support in and advice on questions regarding AV media technology, network (Wi-Fi), video production and streaming.

AV-Media Technology Support
We offer support both before and during an event regarding the planning and use of audio-visual media technology. In case of problems or questions during the event, we will be available to help you to solve the problems or to respond to your questions. You can reach us via email at email@example.com and by telephone via our AV-Hotline (+43 1 31336 - 3003).

In addition, loaner equipment for courses or meetings at WU can be reserved online.
Wi-Fi access for events
For events such as congresses or meetings at WU, a Wi-Fi access can be arranged for external guests. This access is granted only for the period of the event and can be set up by WU employees in the Controlpanel (Extended rights > Wi-Fi > manage Wi-Fi accounts). Guests of events will receive their login data directly at the event.

Which technical equipment is available at events?
Please order the following equipment via email (firstname.lastname@example.org). We will be happy to advise you regarding the technical planning.

How do I order audiovisual technology for my event?
After you have set your event with the Eventmanagement, please contact us at least 14 days before the event with a written request.
WU faculty and staff:
please use the web form provided via Service Desk (login required)
Event organizers without WU account:
please send an email to email@example.com.
We require the following information about your event:
date and timeframe (i.e. start and end times, as well as a possible time for a technical check before the beginning of the event. Tip: A detailed schedule of the event is always helpful for us! For example, lunch breaks are usually used for changing the batteries of the microphones.)
name and cell phone number of the person in charge who acts as our contact person on the day of the event,
name(s) of room(s) in which the event takes place,
room setup and seating layout (for example as pdf attached to an email).
Would you like to have continuous support from one of our technicians?
Do you need additional equipment (e.g. laptop computer, wireless presenter, handheld transmitter and / or pocket transmitter with headset microphones, speaker’s desks)?
How can I order a recording of my event?
Recordings and live streams of sound and images at events can be offered in cooperation with WUtv. Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to request equipment and personnel for the recording.
If you want to make an audio or video recording yourself or if media representatives have planned a recording, we can provide a master audio mix via XLR cables in the following rooms:
Ceremonial Hall 1
Ceremonial Hall 2
Conference Room 1
All sound signals of the stationary AV media technology (technically: master audio mix) can be directly tapped into in the above-mentioned event rooms (via XLR connection).
Which videoconferencing systems are offered and supported?
The team of Media Development supports you in holding video conferences. Various systems are available for this purpose, which can be used as required. Details can be found on the Videoconferencing page.
