Dr. Rudolf Dömötör

Dr. Rudolf Dömötör is Dir­ector of the En­tre­pren­eur­ship Center Net­work (ECN) at the In­sti­tute for En­tre­pren­eur­ship & In­nov­a­tion (www.ecn.ac.at). ECN is a joint ini­ti­at­ive of six Vi­en­nese uni­versit­ies. It pro­motes cross-dis­cip­lin­ary en­tre­pren­eur­ship among stu­dents and fac­ulty by devel­op­ing meth­ods that serve the pur­pose of rais­ing aware­ness for en­tre­pren­eur­ship and trans­fer­ring know­ledge from uni­versit­ies to mar­kets. ECN’s mis­sion is to sus­tain­ably in­crease the num­ber of star­tups out of uni­versit­ies. Mem­ber uni­versit­ies are: Akademie der bildenden Künste, BOKU, Me­duni, TU, Vet­med Uni and WU. For his aca­demic ca­reer he was based in Sydney (Aus­tralia), Wash­ing­ton, D.C. (USA) and Vi­enna.

Be­fore re-­join­ing the E&I team in August 2013, he was a self-em­ployed star­tup- and in­nov­a­tion con­sult­ant.
