Every semester, businesses have the chance to profit from our research-based consulting. Students from our Bachelor specialization, the SIMC Master and the MBA program work in project courses throughout the semester to support industry partners in solving complex challenges and problems. At the Touchdown, the outcomes are presented to the institute, fellow students and project partners from diverse industries.

E&I students have so far worked on more than 1,000 projects with over 100 satisfied business and research partners, ranging from innovative start-ups to established businesses (e.g. Microsoft, KPMG) as well as international research organisations (e.g. CERN, Fraunhofer). The students are guided by the institute‘s researchers and lecturers, moreover supported by external consultants (e.g. BCG, AT Kearney, Accenture).

Pitch Battle for Innovation

The E&I Touchdown - Pitch Battle for Innovation

In our unique pitching format, students present their projects and ideas in multiple rounds. In the first round, all projects are being introduced in a mere 45 seconds each. The diverse pitches are evaluated by an expert jury that chooses the eight best presentations. The Top 8 then move on to further rounds with 60 seconds pitch duration each. There, the audience gets to engage directly and vote on who wins each battle and moves on and who eventually wins the competition. This one-of-a-kind mix between expert judgement and audience voting makes the format thrilling for participants and audience alike - so do not miss the opportunity to experience this yourself.
