Diving deeper into the conversation around Common Good Human Resource Management (CGHRM) and its implications for the future of the workplace (watch the first interview with Stefanie here), Katerina sits down with Brian Matthews to discuss the importance of this new, critical approach to HRM, which is rapidly gaining traction in both academia and business. Brian describes how the “systemic resistance against sustainability” driven by high-profit models is slowly fading as social welfare values gain ground in the economy. He further explains why a perspective that adjusts HRM strategies based on societal needs first is becoming essential for future success. They then explore exactly why this shift matters and what it will require in practice.
