Sustainable Work Lab

swl

The Sustainable Work Lab is an ongoing STaR project designed to serve as a go-to hub for showcasing WU’s expertise on the future of sustainable work, offering visibility and accessibility through a unified platform.

The project addresses seven Sustainable Development Goals linked to the future of work by bringing together practical business experience and interdisciplinary research.

Why should the Sustainable Future of Work be of interest to you?

  • Lecturers: Our expert video interviews are designed for easy integration into the classroom, while the additional resources can support and enrich your course reading lists.

  • Students: Learn which leadership qualities are in demand and explore new HRM approaches shaping future-ready workplaces. Interested in writing your thesis on the sustainable future of work? Each pillar also includes other experts at WU working on the specific topics.

  • Alumni, HR Managers & Business Leaders: Gain research-informed insights into evolving workplaces, sustainable practices, and the skills and leadership capabilities needed to guide teams and build resilient organizations.

Project Lead: Katerina Krebsova

Katerina is a Senior Organisation and People Consultant with extensive experience in sustainable work and human performance. After completing a Master’s in International Management (CEMS) at WU, she is now pursuing a second postgraduate degree in Organizational Psychology at the London School of Economics.

We are proud to have Katerina as one of our STaR Fellows, and we were thrilled when she brought us the idea of the Sustainable Future of Work project!

Project Support: Imani Faber

Imani, a student in the WU SEEP Master’s program, wrote video summaries and curated WU publications, as well as additional resources.

Her recently completed Master’s thesis is also relevant to the sustainable future of work, as it explores the DEI policy shifts in the US from the perspective of women-owned businesses. She has a musical video to share her findings in a creative way—click here if interested.
