2026 WU Transfer Pricing Symposium: Transfer Pricing Case Law around the World

The 2026 WU Transfer Pricing Symposium offers a forum to examine how courts are shaping the technical and practical development of transfer pricing frameworks. As transfer pricing disputes become more frequent and technically complex, courts are increasingly required to engage not only with questions concerning the economic analysis underlying the arm’s length principle, but also with the related domestic law and treaty interpretation. Case law therefore provides an important basis for academic inquiry and legal analysis, particularly in understanding how transfer pricing regulations are interpreted, applied and developed across jurisdictions.

Building on the success over the past two years, the 2026 edition will focus on 21 recent cases from around the world, covering key areas of transfer pricing controversy, including accurate delineation, comparability analysis, the most appropriate method, intra-group services, financing, intangibles, and VAT.

Each session will combine case presentations with discussion among experts from academia, advisory firms, businesses, and governments. The symposium aims to provide a technical, practical, and comparative overview of recent transfer pricing case law and to consider what these developments mean for taxpayers, tax administrations and the broader transfer pricing landscape.
