Impact model for the Innovation Foundation for Education

The aim of the project is to create an impact model for the Innovation Foundation for Education. This will take into account the three activity areas: "Funding," "Private Engagement" (co-foundations), and "Awareness Raising and Networks," with a strong focus on the area of co-foundations. Based on a stakeholder analysis, impact value chains will be developed for the key impact stakeholders.

An impact value chain illustrates the logical connection between invested resources, provided services, achieved outcomes, and the resulting impacts. The individual chains will subsequently be condensed into an overarching impact model. The impact model serves as the conceptual basis for any reasonable impact analysis process. It can be seen as a socially relevant counterpart to a company's business model, as it demonstrates which types of impacts occur (or are intended to occur) among which groups.

This step-by-step approach will be carried out for the Innovation Foundation for Education as a whole, as well as for the individual co-foundations. The final product will be a comprehensive impact model that encompasses both the activities and impacts of the Innovation Foundation for Education and its co-foundations.

Since a participatory approach is desired and beneficial, the impact model will primarily be developed through workshops. The design of the workshops, as well as the processing, integration, and condensation of the results, along with the presentation of the impact model, will be managed by the NPO Competence Center.

The purpose of the impact model is to provide a clear representation of the impacts generated by the activities of the Innovation Foundation for Education and its co-foundations. This can be particularly useful for external communication, as well as for strategic and organizational development processes. Furthermore, the impact model serves as a necessary foundation for potential future impact measurement.
