The Institute for Diversity and Gender in Organizations was pleased to host yesterday’s session of the IHRM Webinar Series titled “Beyond One-Size-Fits-All: Contextualizing Gender Diversity Management in Global Organizations.”

The webinar addressed the global challenge of achieving gender equality and discussed how organizations and multinational enterprises (MNEs) can more effectively implement gender diversity management (GDM) initiatives across diverse national contexts. The presentation reviewed existing research on three key areas:

  1. The transfer of GDM practices across MNEs

  2. The gender composition of MNEs’ top management teams

  3. Comparative studies of GDM

  4.  

The speakers highlighted the limitations of universal, “one-size-fits-all” approaches and emphasized the need for more context-sensitive strategies to advance gender equity in the workplace.
